VISIONTEK SPONSOR THE ROWEB COMBAT250 LAN PARTY

Leading US graphics card manufacturer VisionTek take their award winning graphic cards to the gamers to let them battle it out June 12th 2002.

VisionTek, a leading provider of advanced graphics and memory solutions for PCs, are proud to announce their support of the Roweb Combat250 event taking place in Bicester on the 14-16th June 2002. VisionTek will be supporting the event by giving away 5 super charged Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4400 cards that have already received a variety of awards and excellent reviews. The 128MB DDR VisionTek Xtasy featuring the 550MHz GeForce4 Ti 4400 GPU can produce fill rates of 4.4 billion anti-aliased samples/sec, and 125 million triangles/sec. The card also features an 8.8GB/sec DDR memory interface, as well as VGA support, S-video out, AGP 4X/2X and texturing and DVI-I support.

The event will place in a theatre in Bicester, near Oxford. There will be 250 competitors battling it out in some great tournaments, across a wide range of games with some great prizes on offer. The event is also being covered by PCGAMER and all the action will feature on the cover disk of the July edition of the magazine. The main focus of the event will be based around the ultra-realistic Tom Clancy game GHOST RECON™, where teams of five will battle in a knockout style competition throughout the weekend for the £1,000 in prize money donated by UBISOFT
